TORONTO, Jan. 16, 2015 – Today, the Honourable Joe Oliver, Minister of Finance announced on behalf of the Honourable Rona Ambrose, Minister of Health, an investment aimed at helping newcomers to Canada assess and address their risks of developing chronic diseases like Type 2 diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular disease.

Reducing Waitlists for Preschool Speech and Language Programs
Ontario is helping 10,000 more children with speech and language difficulties by reducing wait times for speech and language services. Additional funding is being provided to Ontario’s 31 Preschool Speech and Language lead agencies which provide services to children with communication challenges from birth to the time they start school.
