Queen’s York Rangers Commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge

Regiment and friends to mark the occasion through song and poetry
To honour the sacrifice and victory of the 20th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Forces, in the Battle of Vimy Ridge the Regimental Council of The Queen’s York Rangers hosted a sold-out Centenary Evening.
The Queens York Rangers perpetuate the 20th Battalion, 37th Battalion, 127th Battalion and 220th Battalion, all of whom were part of the Canadian Expeditionary Forces in WWI. Their combined service during the Great War earned the Rangers ten Battle Honours.
The evening included performances by Ruth Ann Onley, a military fashion show, readings by His Honour David Onley, HCol Darrell Bricker, HLCol Chuck Oliviero and an address by The Honourable Peter MacKay.
Guests include Mayors from Aurora, Markham, Newmarket, and Richmond Hill, local Member of Parliament, representatives from the local police and a Deputy Defense Attaché for France.
