Ministry of Community and Social Services
Province Supporting People with Developmental Disabilities
Brantford, ON – Apr 18, 2017
Ontario is investing in repairs, renovations and upgrades at Brantwood Community Services, which provides supports for people with developmental disabilities.
Dr. Helena Jaczek, Minister of Community and Social Services toured the agency today to highlight the province’s investment.
Community service agencies offer a wide range of supports for people with developmental disabilities. This includes providing an accessible, safe and comfortable home, connecting people to health and social services, and encouraging people to stay active and engaged with family, friends and their community. These investments will help pay for repairs and renovations so that community service agencies can focus on the people they serve.
Investing in residential care for people with developmental disabilities is part of the government’s plan to create jobs, grow our economy and help people in their everyday lives.
